Why this trip

The route

10 days, in an order that keeps the drives short and the days unhurried.

The season

Timed for 7 Oct 2026 — chosen because it is when this route is at its most comfortable to travel in.

The company

Twelve to sixteen travellers, all over fifty, most of them booking on their own. Nobody is the odd one out.

Day by day

  1. 01Arrive in Prague

Met on arrival and driven to the hotel, with the rest of the day free to settle in. Your tour manager gathers the group in the evening to walk through the days ahead over dinner.

  2. 02On to Vienna

An unhurried drive to Vienna, with stops for chai and photographs along the way. The afternoon is spent seeing the place itself, at a pace the whole group is comfortable with.

  3. 03Vienna at your own pace

A full day in Vienna with time built in to rest. The morning is guided; the afternoon is yours to spend as you like, with your tour manager on hand either way.

  4. 04Vienna without the clock

A second unhurried day here, for the corners a single day never reaches — a market, a longer lunch, or simply an armchair and the view.

  5. 05On to Bratislava

An unhurried drive to Bratislava, with stops for chai and photographs along the way. The afternoon is spent seeing the place itself, at a pace the whole group is comfortable with.

  6. 06Bratislava at your own pace

How we host it

Small groups

Between 12 and 16 travellers, so nobody is a face in a crowd and no bus waits on a queue.

A leisurely pace

Late starts, real rest built into the day, and never more walking than the group is up for.

Fully hosted

Bags, bookings, chemists, chai stops. Your tour manager carries the logistics; you carry the camera.

Kindred company

Everyone on board is 50 or over. Same season of life, same stories, same sense of adventure.
